child care during service

Kids

Have kids?

KidsLife and Kid Care are both in the Lecture Hall and welcome all kids, toddlers through students in grade 6. Toddlers must be toilet trained.

At Restoration Church, safety and security are our priorities. Learn more about our health & safety guidelines.
Grades K-6

KidsLife

When you arrive at the front doors of South Lakes High School, sign in at the Welcome Table. Just beyond, you will also see the Kids Ministry table where we have information about current happenings and a sign-in sheet specifically for kids. A friendly adult will greet your child and discuss what to expect so we avoid any worries or surprises. If your child is apprehensive, that’s OK! They can choose to go to KidsLife with other kids or stay in worship with you: we provide clipboards with crayons and kid-friendly activities for those who stay during the sermon.

If it is your first time visiting, please provide your information on the family-specific Welcome Form so we are aware of any special circumstances or needs for your kids; if your child would like to attend KidsLife, it also allows us to have your phone number and e-mail in case we need to contact you during or after the worship service.

After signing in, your child will go into the auditorium with you to experience the first couple worship songs. (Don’t worry if they don’t sit perfectly still! We welcome and encourage dancing.) During announcements, kids will leave with the Kids Ministry teachers, one at each entrance to the auditorium. Teachers will escort kids to the Lecture Hall for a Bible lesson, games and activities.

KidCare

Our childcare workers will have lots of activities and toys for your little ones. They are also welcome to participate in the lesson with the older kids. The check-in process is the same as our Kids Ministry (KidsLife). We can’t wait to meet your little ones!

Currently we do not provide drop-off infant care during worship.  Parents are welcome to keep infants with them in the service; if the baby needs a break from being still and surrounded by sound and people, there is both space behind the last row in the auditorium for free movement and also the option of visiting the KidCare room to observe.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Ms. Jennifer (jvanderburgh@restorationreston.org), the coordinator of our children’s and student ministries.
